I take commissions to make bespoke sculptures, designed and created just for you or your business.
My signature pieces are of The Tree of Life and in these wire art sculptures I use various thicknesses and colours of wire and semi-precious gemstones to create bespoke and unusual pieces that are fluid and winding like a beautiful tree but also have the rigidity and structure of the angular frame like the architecture I see all around me in my beloved city of Birmingham.
I manipulate individual wires into the form of a tree trunk and branches so that each piece is unique and can represent the experiences of our lives. Each branch symbolises the structures that give us the balance to be strong and go through life, no matter what obstacles get in our way.
I let the tree flow naturally into unusual forms and create wire art sculptures that are either free formed or combined with a frame depending on my client’s tastes.
I love being able to use wire to create the wood-like texture and when the light bounces off the metal and gemstones it creates an ethereal like quality.
The tree of life that I commonly use in my wire art sculptures is also a symbol of personal development and growth. It represents a feeling of togetherness and that feeling that you are not alone. The roots dig deep into the earth that grounds us and the branches reach high up into the sky taking energy from the sun and the moon. It also symbolises our ancestry and family and the bonds that we have with them.
Trees in themselves represent strength and resilience as they stand tall, to weather a storm but each one is unique and individual, representing the unique part each one of us takes in the world.
I also use many beautiful semi-precious gemstones in my art work, each believed to have their own healing properties.

Commissioning a sculpture should be an easy and enjoyable process. With each bespoke sculpture enquiry I receive, I follow the same, well thought out process to ensure my clients are happy every step of the way.
I work on the unique basis that each piece of art is made to my client’s required specifications. Many of my clients come to me with a clear idea in their mind as to what they want their wire art sculpture to look like, while others come to me wanting to create a concept from scratch for them.
In order to understand exactly how my clients want their sculpture to be created, I start by initiating a consultation. This consultation can be over video call, for example Zoom, or if you’d prefer, can be an in-person meeting where I can see the space myself. To find out which consultation type would suit you best, please get in touch.
The consultation process is when we can discuss your ideas and come up with designs for your space. I will show you various wire options as well as discuss any gemstones you would like, should you wish to include them in your commission design.
Following our consultation, I will sketch out our ideas and provide you with a quote for the work. Once you are completely happy with the price and designs, I will begin work on your bespoke art piece and installation.
Free Form Wall Mounted Sculpture
If you wish to have a free-form wire art sculpture attached to the wall then firstly, I am happy to come to you, to see the space that you require a sculpture for. There, I will take pictures, measure the area and discuss any ideas with you. I can then create a design and put together a quote.
If, for whatever reason, be it a surprise gift, long distance or it is not possible for me to come to see the space, then I would require some measurements to be taken and a few photos at different angles. We can then discuss any requirements over a zoom call before I create a design and put together a quote.
The quote is usually given as an estimate based on materials and time and once you are happy with the design and any adjustments have been made I will then require a 30% deposit before I begin. The deposit will be based on the lower end of the quote and removed from the final invoice. I will then liaise with you throughout the project sending you photographs and updates if requested.
A further 30% of the final balance will need to be paid on completion and photographs of the complete piece being viewed. Then the final 40% payment should be made within 3 days of delivery and installation of the sculpture.
These truly bespoke and intricate pieces are individually priced based on size, material costs and time. If you have a budget in mind, please let me know so that I can create a piece that matches your requirements.
Any of the sculptures pictured can be re-created but because these pieces are all handcrafted, they will still be unique. If you see any art pieces you like then I can make you something similar. You may for example, wish to change the colour of the wire and pick any gemstone you like to create your own bespoke piece.
These sculptures can be made in varying sizes to fit the space you have selected.
I require a 30% deposit before I begin. I will send progress pictures if required and the rest of the payment will be invoiced to you before delivery of the sculpture and must be paid before the sculpture is dispatched. I can come and install the sculpture myself or post the sculpture to you.
